NEW LYDNEY SHOW HOME IS BORN TO BE DIFFERENT
A NEW generation of housing with a sense of community will be unveiled when a show home opens in Lydney this Saturday (October 6).
River View is an innovative new development from Bluebell Homes, a homebuilder determined to do things differently. The company is committed to creating homes among thriving and sustainable communities, with an emphasis on biodiversity, the environment, technology, health and wellbeing.
It’s a concept buyers in Lydney have already embraced – seven homes at River View have been reserved “off plan” over the summer. Many more have expressed an interest and are eager to have their first look inside the show home.
Martin Taylor, managing director of Bluebell Homes, said: “At River View we are offering something distinctly different to other homebuilders. The homes and the wider community facilities have been designed with how people want to live now and in the future.
“River View is set to be an exciting scheme for the area, providing dozens of much needed new homes, which we hope people will love to live in for years to come. It’s really captured buyers’ attention and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to the Carcroft show home, which will give buyers a real sense of the quality and finish of the properties.”
The Carcroft is a four-bedroom detached home, featuring a spacious lounge to the front, with a combined kitchen and dining room to the rear, plus convenient cloakroom. Upstairs, the master bedroom has an en-suite, with the remaining three bedrooms sharing the family bathroom.
The specification includes a range of traditional and contemporary style kitchens with a choice of worktops, stainless steel oven and hob, plus integrated fridge freezer. Bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms feature contemporary white sanitary ware from Roca.
The attention to detail extends from the individual homes to the wider development.
“At Bluebell Homes we take our responsibility to create sustainable developments very seriously,” Martin adds.
“We carefully consider the impact our homes have on the environment and on the wider community. For example in Lydney, every home will benefit from an external car charging point. Plus, residents will also be able to enjoy the use of allotments and green open spaces around the development. We’re also supporting the wider area by investing almost £950,000 in local education provision and highways improvements, including a new right hand turn lane on Highfield Road.”
Community facilities at River View include:
- Outdoor power point for electrical car charging for every home
- Play areas, plus outdoor exercise stations across the development
- CCTV to public areas to ensure safety on-site and a number of Wi-Fi hotspots for connectivity across the development
- Dedicated allotments for residents to grow their own produce
- Cycle hire facility
Bluebell Homes has planning consent to build 166 homes on a 17.6 acre site on Highfield Road. The first phase includes two, three and four-bedroom designs, including some two-bedroom bungalows. Current prices are from £180,000.
The homes at River View will be perfectly placed to enable residents to enjoy panoramic views over the Severn estuary.
The historical town of Lydney is known as the gateway to the Forest of Dean and is around 10 miles from Chepstow and the M4. It is well served by a choice of schools and benefits from a wide range of shops and amenities too.
The show home at River View opens this Saturday (October 6).
